Adobe PDF file CJSA Heading and Concussion Protocols (April 2016) *- The CJSA has adopted a new rule, effective 4-1-16, that no player U11 or younger may intentionally head a ball during play. The violation will result in a direct free kick for the opposing team from the spot of the offense. Because of the mix of 11 and 12 year old players in the U12 division, the Northeast District Competition Committee, of which Brooklyn Youth Soccer is a member, has enacted this rule to prohibit the intentional heading of any ball by any player in the U12 age division or under.
